REFLECTIONS AND MIRRORS

I’m going out

I wanna drink until I ache

It’s a pill tipped back

Spend my days locked in a haze—

I don’t really wanna know what’s good for me

I’m entitled to so much more

’Cause I was raised up

To be admired                                       ( I wish I wasn’t such a narcissist )

To be noticed

But when you look over              ( Now you see me )

You look right through                                  ( And now you don’t )

 

I do not feel the fear of falling

I wanna fly like a bird through the night

High all the time

To keep you off my mind

And you can’t save me now

It’s innocence lost

The ugly years of being a fool
